This is the build of a Roundhouse 'Katie' kit, being turned into a North Eastern style industrial engine called 'Blyth'.

 

 Testing that the frames are all square, next, strip down and paint them.

 

 

 All brass parts were etch primed before a coat of normal primer.  The steel frames just needed airbrushing with the standard primer.  Note the 'bluetack' in the axle holes! Good stuff bluetack.

 

 

She's not going to be a clean engine! Dirty black outer and authentic red inside!
