Greetings everyone, I'm very pleased to join this garden railway club and hope I can get to grips with the google system and, in time, post some contributions.

 

My garden railway is in 16mm scale and is based on a small light railway (keiben) somewhere in the prefecture of Gunma (which is where I live).  Japan began its light railways with locos from the UK and Germany.  Other locos were bought from the US later on.  I'm trying to create a railway that doesn't look British or American, though there were many influences from both continents so similarities are quite common.

 

I'm a high school English teacher which keeps me busy, so time in the garden or shed is very precious.  By the way, my spelling is terrible so don't be shocked by some mistakes.  Human after all!
