The purpose of this track plan is to gain advice from the group, some of whom are more experienced signalmen, know lots about prototypical systems or who have at least already made judgements about the use of signals in a garden railway context. I have marked all the places that I think a signal ought to go but clearly to have them all would create a forest. A couple of ground signals in the yard could fit in quite nicely, I feel, and maybe even in other places too. I am sure all stations and even halts should have starters at least. Perhaps I could consider that each station starter controls a big enough block in its own right, using doubles where the track soon splits.
I have also marked whistle points. Again, it may be far too many. On the other hand they are unobtrusive enough.
Comments eagerly sought.
