Oakenfen Halt

by Cheeseminer
Oakenfen Halt is at the end of the northern extent of the Flatland Washes Railway. The line used to continue on to North Wash but that section of the line has sunk into the fen (for the third time) and current economics prevent its replacement, thus it is an unplanned terminus.
It wouldn't exist at all if the site didn't also house one of the Company's wagon and carriage workshops, and if the Slightly Podgy Controller didn't live just round the corner.

Most of the traffic relates to the workshop, but there is an occasional passenger service, for the occasional passenger, mainly residents of Oaken (population 17) and twitchers seeking a glimpse of the probably extinct Fenland Cold Duck (duckus coritzchillyere).
